Easter with Habermas!
Happy Easter. This Easter's God Solution show is a compilation of some of the different evidences for Easter from a couple past interviews we've done with Dr. Gary Habermas. He is the author or co-author of over 30 books (check those out here) and 100 articles and reviews in journals and magazines. In the last 16 years he has given over 1500 lectures in about 100 universities, seminaries, and colleges. He holds a PhD in History and Philosophy of Religion from Michigan State University as well as an MA in Philosophical Theology from the University of Detroit. He currently acts as 'Distinguished Research Professor and Chair' in the Department of Philosophy and Theology at Liberty University, where he has taught for the past 30 years. His main areas of research include the philosophical study of miracles, near-death experiences, the historical Jesus, and the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus. He is the authority on the resurrection of Christ and is considered and expert in apologetics. You'll remember him from the Case for Christ and many other apologetic resources. Check out his website here, his interview with flew (which we discuss) here and listen to our interview below.

Growing up in Romania I came to love their Easter season greeting. One person would greet another with, "Cristos a inviat" (Christ is risen) and the reply would go, "Adevarat ca a inviat" (it is true that He is risen!). It is true that He has risen! Happy Easter.

Easter Evangelism Idea - Witness at Church!!!
So Erin, my wife, just had this great idea. Another great way to share your faith this Easter is to be intentional about witnessing in church tomorrow. A large number of people that show up in church this Easter Sunday will be there only because of the Easter holiday. I'm assuming your church will discuss Easter, the resurrection and the gospel. You can easily get into an evangelistic conversation by going up to someone new, saying hi (don't forget these great ideas on meeting new people) and then asking a very simple transition question, "What do you think about what the pastor talked about this morning?" That will open up a great conversation about the gospel. Even if they are already believers, keep trying to meet other new people as well - chances are you'll soon find someone who's heart God has been working on, ready to discuss the hope you have! Don't miss these other Easter evangelism ideas! Happy Easter!
Hopeless, afraid, confused, anxious, sad or depressed?
Imagine the hopelessness, fear, confusion, anxiety, sadness and depression those who loved Jesus felt after he died. Indeed, everything seemed to have been lost. Saturday was the day it seemed God lost. We've all experienced those times of pain, sorrow and doubt. Unbeknownst to them, Sunday was coming! Jesus would indeed rise from that grave and conquer death. This would be the greatest story of God's victory. But Saturday they had no clue. The hope that Jesus gives us is all that brings us through those dark times of life. Thank you Jesus for conquering death, sin and hopelessness! Thank you Father for sending your Son. Enjoy Easter this weekend. Remember what all we're celebrating. Share the hope you have with those around you today! Check out the MP3 of the God Solution show this week on "Irrefutable Evidence for Easter" below:
And finally, check out this great little video titled "Sunday's Coming."

Good Friday!!!
It's Good Friday! The day we remember what Jesus did for each of us on that Cross. There isn't much for me to add more than an encouragement to remember your Savior today and to share the hope we have in Him with those around you this weekend. You can watch the whole Passion of the Christ movie online by clicking here. Check out the trailer below. Happy Easter!
Col.2:13-14 - "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross."

14 Fun Easter Evangelism Ideas!
Happy Easter! Easter is here and what a great time to share your faith! I am listing several Easter evangelism ideas below. Some of these came from Campus Crusade for Christ's 10 Easter evangelism ideas and Evangelism.net's 6 Easter evangelism ideas. Each of those posts have other ideas I haven't listed here and we've also added a few of our own. I figured it would be easiest to put them into one post in stead of trying to cram them into 12 posts over the next few days.
1. Do an Easter Egg hunt with Resurrection Eggs (buy them here). Invite friends' and Relatives' kids over and share the real reason for Easter! This activity will open up conversations with the parents about the gospel as well.
2. Invite people to a sunrise service or your church's Easter service. Get info on that here.
3. Share the evidence. There are a ton of great reasons to believe, with confidence, that Jesus rose from that grave 2,000 years ago. Share those evidences with your friends. Our "God Solution" radio show will focus on that evidence this week. Check out this post with more ideas on this topic. Get this week's God Solution show on that topic below (and get our notes, with a lot of the evidence, here). Please click here and share this link with friends that you think would be interested in hearing the evidence for Easter.

4. Give your friends a good card with an Easter message (here are a few ideas from Christmas about picking a good card to share with - you can easily adapt them to Easter).
5. Give out a great book. Lee Stroble's "The Case for Easter" would be a great little handout. You can get it here (in bulk) for $1.50 each. "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" would also be a good choice. Include a good card.
6. Give out a great DVD. You could give them "The Passion of the Christ" (get them ridiculously cheap here) or something different. Include a good card.
7. Create an Easter gift basket for friends, co-workers, kids or neighbors. Include an invite to your church, reading material about easter or a movie (you could include some of the ideas above in this gift basket or just keep it simple).
8. Share a short Easter message online (you could use our online evangelism ideas here).
9. Ask someone if they celebrate Easter. You could modify this Christmas evangelism idea for Easter.
10. Host a Passover celebration. This is a fun, interesting and unique cultural experience that most of your friends would love to be invited to. Here are few ideas for getting started. A lot of churches are starting to do this so you could invite people to a local Passover celebration if there is one happening in your city. We'll be doing one here (get the facebook invite here). The main point is to bring Christ and the Gospel into every aspect of the meal. Check out this short video on Christ in the Passover.
11. Host an Easter celebration. Go all out. Host a huge Easter meal and gat-together. Invite friends, neighbors and relatives. Then, make sure to mention the reason for the celebration.
12. You could also bake a bunch of Easter cookies and share them, and the gospel, with friends. Get more info on that here.
13. Witness at Church!!! Get more on that here.
14. After Easter, ask people you see next week what they did for Easter. This will open up a conversation about Easter that you can then bring back to the Gospel.
Well, I hope you enjoy applying these 12 evangelism ideas. Whatever you do, please demolish the number one reason people don't believe Jesus rose from the dead. Let me know if you have any others to add to the list and please let us know how it goes when you try these! Check out the video below and have a great day!

The main reason people don't believe Jesus rose from the dead
Springtime, colorful eggs and chocolate bunnies? Nope; that isn't what Easter is all about. The reason it has become that is simple. There is really convincing evidence Jesus did NOT rise from the dead. That evidence is the lives of countless millions of Americans living as if their faith were nothing more than a secular holiday. When we live like Easter is fiction we affirm the unbelief of those around us. If we could jut get a hold of the reality and truth of what we're celebrating this week this country and world would be turned upside down! I will be posting several good Easter evangelism ideas this week but wanted to encourage you, before we even get there, to determine in your heart to live like Easter is true - if we can get there, we won't be able to help but talk about Jesus! So here are a few links to get you started. I shared a lot of evidences for the resurrection in the this talk a while back. Our "God Solution" radio show will focus on this topic this week (you DON'T want to miss it - we'll discuss divergent resurrection accounts in the Gospels, evidences for the resurrection and much more). Listen to the MP3 below:
I will be posting several Easter evangelism ideas this week (get those here) but for now, check out these 10 Easter ideas from CCC and these 6 Easter ideas from evangelism.net. It's going to be a great week. Growing up in Romania, people would begin saying, "Cristos a inviat" (Christ has risen) about a month before Easter. The response went, "Adevarat a inviat" (it is true that He is risen). As I close out this post I encourage you, "Christ has risen, it is true that He has risen!" Let's live and talk like it!
