If you're like me you probably often find yourself talking about sports. I am a die hard baseball and St. Louis Cardinals fan and am very excited about spring training right now (I'm actually even wearing my Cardinal hat as I write this). Transitioning from a conversation about sports to a conversation about Christ is very easy if you'll follow this simple idea. Probably the easiest way to share the gospel in a conversation about sports is to bring up a Christian athlete in the conversation and then work through the sound barriers. You can see an example of how I dod this here. There are quite a few Christian athletes out there so it shouldn't be difficult for you to find one you love! Just find a few names from the list below and bring them up in your next conversation about sports. Discuss how you appreciate their athletic abilities but also their personal stories. Then share their testimony. Google their name or check youtube to find their testimony. From there, ask the person what they think about that and/or what their background with Christianity is and continue sharing the Good News.
