Create a facebook ad to share your faith!

A quick idea for evangelism is to make a facebook ad for your area. Just type "ads" in the search box on facebook or click "create ad" which appears above other ads you'll see on your profile. When you create the ad you can target specific ages and audiences, for example, your city, neighborhood, school, etc. You won't have much space so you can't write much. Write something that will expose the general concept of the gospel and then link that to  a website or blog where people can find more. You can pay per click or per 1,000 views; either way it is relatively inexpensive (~$1 / 1,000 views). The picture above is our ad for Connect, our weekly meeting this week. I tried to strategically include the part about "Jesus' love, forgiveness and life" as an intro to the gospel. Hope this idea helps you reach thousands in your area!

Evangelism Idea: Share with a Facebook Ad!

Sharing your faith with a large number of people has never been easier! Go to the facebook ads page here for answers to questions you may have to get started. Create an ad for your ministry, church, website or blog by going to the create ad page here. You will pay around $1.00 per click on your ad but can set the limit you're willing to pay per day (ex. $10 / day). For every click there are usually thousands of impressions (people that see your ad but don't click it). That means for every dollar you spend thousands more will get a quick view of the gospel. Carefully select specific demographic conditions to target your ad to specific audiences (ex. college students in your city). Make sure to use your 25 character title to portray the big picture of the gospel in a unique way (example: Jesus loves you!!!) and then summarize the gospel and your link in the next 135 characters. You probably won't be able to afford to run this forever but for a short time period you can reach a large audience with the gospel and a link to your ministry. I hope you get a chance to try this idea and the many more we've posted!

Evangelism idea: What's your status?

You can share the Good News with hundreds of people this morning! Here's how. Your Facebook status or what's happening on Twitter are places you can frequently share the gospel. I know a lot of my Facebook friends are still looking for a relationship with God. Every time you take the initiative to intentionally share your faith on your wall or your status you are opening a door for Christ to work big in peoples' lives. The idea for the day is simple. Make a short description of the gospel message your status and leave it there for a few days. I have 846 Facebook friends and of those I am guessing 200 - 300 don't yet know Jesus. This idea is a very easy way to expose hundreds of those closest to you to Jesus. For all of you about to go to school, having something like this as your status is a great way to take a stand early on for Jesus and that is a huge key to staying strong in your faith at school (if that's you, check out the MP3 below titled "Take a Stand at College"). Almost every time I post something like this I begin getting numerous comments and further discussions often result. Make sure to include all 4 main points of the gospel: God's love for them, the sin issue, how Jesus took care of that and finally, what I must do about it. Make sure to highlight that last point as it will most likely start a bunch of discussions. For more ideas on sharing those 4 points clearly check out page 2 of these notes (titled "what to focus on when presenting the KGP"). And while we're talking about Facebook and Twitter, if we're not friends yet, connect on Facebook here and connect on Twitter here. Thanks! Have a great day and enjoy applying this idea.
