The Great Commission is the third greatest commandment (Mt.28:18-20) and a major way of fulfilling the first 2 (Mk.12:30-31, Jn.14:15, 1 Jn. 5:2-3). The Great Commission must come before any other denominational and/or superficial issues other than loving Him and each other actively. Conviction #1 - We must emphasize the Great Commission more than anything except loving Him first and each other second (and it should be emphasized that the Great Commission is also a way of accomplishing those other 2 ends). Few Churches and pastors make the Great Commission a focus – Christ did, his disciples did and so must we.
