Jesus gets a 7.5 (read more to find out what that means)

What a week it has been!!! We've had an initial conversation about Jesus with somewhere between 400 and 500 freshmen! It has been exhausting but exhilarating as well. The preliminary stats are in. After reviewing about 25% of the surveys, this years freshmen give Jesus a 7.6 out of 10. Not bad, considering very few of them would consider themselves Christians. That being said, people are interested in Jesus and this generation is no exception. Now it's up to us to share with them!

College Students are Sad!

The new UCLA study titled "The American Freshman: National Norms" found this year's freshmen to have the lowest level of emotional well being of any class since monitoring began! All of you that were at Connect last week heard the unbelievable statistics on depression, loneliness and so much more (if you missed it, get it here). The study also found these students are hopeful about their college experiences and optimistic about the future. That's good! The bottom line from this study is that these students are, as has been said, "laughing on the outside but crying on the inside." They are desperately searching for Jesus and only He has the answers. This study just proves that (as if we needed more proof). So get after it! Let's take the Good News to the campus today! If you're here at FLC join us today between 11 and 2.
