  1. 2011 was quite a year. It was the year of political partisanship showing it's ugly head. We had many from the religious right making abusrd comments about gay marriage, and birth control, anti Islamic statements, etc.

I hope our politicians can behave better in 2012. We don't need our country to ruled by Christians or any other religion. On a bright note Michelle Bachman and Rick Perry are out or soon to be out of the race!

How about our nation focuses on jobs and the economy instead of the age old debate over homosexuality and abortion?

  3. Gay Marriage:
"Don't use the word 'gay' unless it's an acronym for 'Got Aids Yet'" Bob Dornan (R) California

"You telling these miserable, Hell-bound, bath house-wallowing, anal-copulating f**s that God loves them!? You have bats in the belfry!" Fred Phelps, Westboro Baptist Church

"Not only is homosexuality a sin, but anyone who supports f**s is just as guilty as they are. You are both worthy of death." Fred Phelps

"Homosexuals are weak, morally sick wretches." Jesse Helms

    Birth Control:
"Sex education classes in our public schools are promoting incest." Jimmy Sawaggart

"I would like to outlaw contraception...contraception is disgusting – people using each other for pleasure." Joseph Scheidler - Pro Life Action League

"[Planned Parenthood] is teaching kids to fornicate, teaching people to have adultery, every kind of bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism – everything that the Bible condemns." Pat Robertson

"I don't think Christians should use birth control. You consummate your marriage as often as you like – and if you have babies, you have babies." Randall Terry

    Anti Islamic sentiment

"Raising your children under Americanism or any other principles other than true Christianity is child abuse." Robert T Lee.

"The Islamic people, the Arabs, were the ones who captured Africans, put them in slavery, and sent them to America as slaves. Why would the people in America want to embrace the religion of slavers?" Pat Robertson

Add to this topic the shear amount of Christians that think our government is going to institute Sharia Law... That is such a fallacy, if we were to to do that we would have get rid of all our femals politicians, quit drinking, not allowing women to work, etc...

May Christians blindly follow the words of hate mongers such as Micheal Savage, Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swaggart, Fred Phelps, etc...

The above quotes represent the very dark underbelly of many Christians and their thinking. SO tell me of these quotes which ones do YOU agree with?

  4. Can't wait to talk more. Busy now. Hope you're doing great. Until I get time to post, remember the westboro group, at least, aren't baptists and definitely not Christians (they miss the fundamental message that saying you love God yet hating your brother makes you a liar 1 Jn.4:20).
