Thanksgiving Party!

You'll probably remember our Thursday dinner and open discussion times; we've written about them before (read that here). Of course, if you're a student you've been to these numerous times most likely! This past Thursday we had 61 people in our house, ate 4 turkeys, 1 ham, 35 pounds of mashed potatoes, other sides and pies. After that we had 1 1/2 hours of discussion about Jesus, salvation, truth and growing with God. It was a great time. These are always great times of discussion so I wanted to encourage you to host a Thanksgiving party this week. Invite friends and/or family over for a time of eating, fun, reflection and discussion. Allow them to put topics or questions anonymously in a box and then open the discussion up. You'll find it is a great way to share your faith with your loved ones. I will post more ideas on how to share your faith over Thanksgiving this week but wanted to share this idea with you since it just happened. Check out the MP3 below for a couple of thoughts on giving thanks and then a lot of students each sharing what they are thankful for. Have a great weekend!
